Nodusfall Player Hub

Where Weavers dress, take contracts, and sit in a spring — then leave to hunt.

Player Hub and Town

Every Gamescom write-up that lasted longer than the trailer eventually mentions the hub. Fraser Brown’s four-player crew started in a social space, picked and dressed Weavers, then followed a HoYoverse babysitter toward three escalating fights. Creator footage and Inven’s Cologne set show hot springs, mounts at the door, and a board that hands you a contract. Polygon’s hour described the same space as a tent-village camp on a mountainside with merchants, upgrades, and hunt quests — closer to a Monster Hunter gathering hub than to a Genshin city. This page is that room. It is not a city guide, because no English map names have shipped.

Use it with contracts for the hunt sign-up, mounts for the commute out, and customization for what you change before you leave.

What the booth hub actually contained

Shared facts across PC Gamer, Inven, GameRant, Famitsu, and Fextralife’s “I played it” tape:

  • A starting social space, not an instant drop onto a dragon.
  • Character select among four Weavers, with outfits, hairstyles, and accessories already visible.
  • A Style or sub-class pick. One Weaver had two classes; the others had one.
  • A contract that sends the squad into the field, usually after a mount ride.
  • Hot springs and light player contact — the screenshot bait that made people call it an MMO town.

The development FAQ is the cold water. Social features are intentionally light. You will not be forced to network to hunt. Most core content is playable solo. The spring is a rest pose, not a guild grind. If you sit in it for twenty minutes waiting for a friend who has not pre-registered, you are using the room wrong.

Official site copy says you can switch roles and loadouts at will. The hub is where that sentence becomes a UI. Until a client shows the tabs, assume you change Weavers, Styles, and clothes here, then lock them for the contract. Weapons and roles are the homework you should have done before you touch the board.

Contracts live on the board, not in the overworld

Inven’s demo did not wander. The party accepted a contract, mounted, and rode toward a marked monster. Polygon printed a mission title, Purge Evil Spirits, and MeinMMO’s German booth notes added a campfire that revived instantly plus no low-HP warning — demo comfort, not a shipping HUD promise. That is why this wiki’s walkthrough is a hunt chain rather than a numbered quest log. Famitsu’s session chained three bosses. GameRant named the chain Cleaver Fellstone, Qionqi, and Maldrake plus rider. You pick that work in the hub. You do not stumble into it.

Treat the board like a hunt counter. Assign the four-role split before you mount. A missing Hexsworn is harder to fix in a cavern than in a spring. Party synergy is the page for that argument; this page is only the room where you still can change your mind.

Light social, on purpose

HoYoverse’s FAQ says the team does not want to force networking. Previewers still saw other players in the space, which is enough for a hub screenshot and not enough for a housing trailer. There is no published apartment, no fishing minigame schedule, no wedding emote. Anyone selling you a Genshin-style teapot inside Nodusfall is early by at least one announcement.

If cosmetics become the paid layer, this is also where they will be worn. Fraser Brown already imagined people dropping cash on outfits for the boss-slaying crew. That is consideration, not a shop SKU. Monetization and cosmetics keep the distinction.

What to do in a future test’s hub

  1. Finish onboarding. Preview players were funneled through a melee tutorial before the full roster unlocked.
  2. Open controls and bind clash.
  3. Pick a Weaver you can actually play on a noisy floor: Hexsworn or bow if telegraphs freeze you, knight if you want the clash lesson.
  4. Dress the body only after the job is set. Hats do not clash for you.
  5. Take the first contract. Do not tour the spring.
  6. After a kill, come back, note the Divine that dropped, and decide whether the next hunt wants a different Style.

When HoYoverse names the hub in English, this page gets the proper noun. Until then, it is a room with a board, a spring, and a door to a mount. For the continent on the other side of that door, use world and regions. For the show that built the room, use Gamescom 2026.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Nodusfall questions.

Is the hub an MMO city?

No. It is a light social space with a contract board. The FAQ says networking is never forced.

Can I change characters in the hub?

Official copy says you can switch roles and loadouts at will. The demo started there. A full swap UI has not been shown.

Do I need friends in the hub to hunt?

No. Most core content is solo-viable. Co-op is better for role split, not required to leave the room.
