Nodusfall Divine Skills

Powers reclaimed from fallen Dreadnodi — yours alone once earned.

Divine Skills

Divine Skills are the only progression system with an official English name in the August 2026 reveal material. Official copy describes them as powers reclaimed from defeated Dreadnodi — yours alone once earned. That phrase, carried across Gematsu, TechNode, and the developer FAQ, is the entire public contract. This page documents what that means for a first hunt, what the demo actually showed, and what remains unannounced.

Pair this page with co-op combat for clash windows that create openings, Dreadnodi for the enemies that grant these powers, and Styles and customization for the sub-class layer that modifies how your kit behaves.

What the name actually means

The official homepage feature titled “Seize Their Power” is the clearest source: reap divine power from enemies to unlock Divine Skills that are yours alone. Every English preview — PC Gamer, GameRant, Famitsu, Inven — reproduces that phrasing without adding contradictory detail. No other first-party source has published a skill tree, a skill count, or a unlock condition beyond “defeat the creature.”

The phrase “yours alone” is the meaningful part. It implies personal ownership that persists between sessions, not a rental buff that expires. It does not say whether two Weavers can learn the same Divine Skill from the same boss, or whether sharing requires a party loot rule that has not shipped.

Enemy-driven progression

The loop is kill, harvest, equip. Dreadnodi are the source. Each major beast carries some amount of divine power — leftover divinity from the shattered Source Core, per TechNode’s cosmology write-up. When a squad defeats one, the survivors claim that power as a new ability or an upgrade to an existing one.

This is not a class-locked skill line. A Hexsworn and a greatsword knight can both harvest the same Fire Drake. Their Divine Skills may differ entirely, because “yours alone” suggests the unlock is personal, not shared loot.

Until HoYoverse prints a bestiary with skill drop tables, the honest advice is: fight everything you can, screenshot your loadout after every major kill, and do not assume your Divine Skill roster matches another player’s.

What the Gamescom demos showed

Famitsu’s hands-on described a Divine Skill as a long-cooldown transformation or party heal. GameRant’s Hexsworn coverage listed a green healing ring on an Ultimate-scale timer. Inven’s bow kit had a Divine that turned the ranger into a beast mount with paw swipes and tail jumps — an awkward close-range form with an Ultimate-length cooldown that was easy to waste on a dying add.

Beebom’s write-up of the five-ability cluster confirmed four regular skills plus one Divine Skill. The Divine sits at a different cooldown tier than the regular four: well over two minutes in the ranged kit GameRant timed. Regular skills rotate; the Divine is the button you hold for a phase change.

No demo showed a skill menu, a loadout screen, or a confirm button for “equip this skill.” What existed was a HUD slot labeled differently from the other four, a long cooldown, and a visible transformation or mount.

Divine Skills and Styles

Official combat copy says Divine Skills expand as you defeat bosses. The home page feature “Slay, Forge, Build, Evolve” adds that you can switch roles and loadouts. Combine those two sentences: your Divine Skill roster grows over time, and you can bring different selections to different hunts.

Styles — the sub-class layer shown in the demo — can also change which Divine Skill you field or how it behaves. Inven’s two bow players in the same demo took different ultimates and different Divines. That divergence is intentional. Two Hexsworns in a party can field different healing forms.

When a test client ships, this page will add a skill list with names. Until then, the principle is simple: defeat bosses, claim power, grow your personal kit.

Shared versus solo farming

If Divine Skills are personal unlocks, solo players farm at their own pace without relying on party drops. That matches the “most core content is playable solo” FAQ. You do not need a carry; you need time.

Co-op players share the hunt but not necessarily the skill unlock. The “yours alone” phrasing suggests each Weaver harvests their own copy. A four-player squad that clears Maldrake might see four different Divine Skills added to four different rosters. This is inference, not confirmation — HoYoverse has not published party loot rules.

The practical take: bring a full squad if you want the hunt to be easier, not because four people somehow unlock more skills than one. The unlock is per-player, not per-boss.

What remains unannounced

No public source has confirmed:

  • How many Divine Skills exist in total
  • Whether skills can be upgraded or evolve
  • If there is a respec option
  • Whether Divine Skills can be swapped outside of hub
  • Exact cooldown numbers
  • Whether cross-class Divines exist

This page will update the moment official documentation exists. Until then, the working rule is: fight more bosses, claim what drops, and do not spend real money on a skill that has not been announced.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Nodusfall questions.

How do I unlock Divine Skills?

Official copy says reap divine power from defeated Dreadnodi. Each major boss is a source. No drop table is public.

Are Divine Skills shared in co-op?

The phrase 'yours alone' implies personal unlocks. Each Weaver likely claims their own copy from a shared kill.

Can I respec my Divine Skills?

Unannounced. The 'Slay, Forge, Build, Evolve' feature mentions role and loadout switching, but specific respec rules are not published.

Do all Weavers have the same Divine Skills?

Unlikely. 'Yours alone' and the Styles system both suggest personal divergence. Two players on the same Weaver can still differ after a week of hunts.
