Nodusfall Beta Checklist

HoYoverse has not opened a public Nodusfall beta. The company has opened pre-registration and a recruitment survey for future tests. This checklist is the boring work that makes a 30-minute invite useful instead of a panic. Do the account steps now. Do the play steps when mail arrives.

Before any invite

• HoYoverse account on the email you read daily.
• Pre-register completed on nodusfall.hoyoverse.com while logged in.
• Recruitment survey submitted with real region, real GPU/CPU/RAM, real play habits.
• @Nodusfall and @Nodusfall_jp followed; Discord joined from the official invite in Japanese press, not a random server.
• PC actually meets whatever the mail says. Booth rumors (16 GB RAM, RTX 4060-class, ~100 GB) are not a spec sheet — they are a hint to stop applying on a 4 GB laptop.
• This wiki bookmarked offline-ish: getting started, controls, combat, Hexsworn if you will heal.

If mail says you are in

• Read the whole mail for NDA language. If it says you cannot stream, you cannot stream.
• Download only from the URL in that mail or the official site. No third-party “Nodusfall launcher”.
• Set display and pad binds before the first contract. Clash on a button you can feel.
• Pick a job before matchmaking: tank, healer, or DPS. See roles.
• Take a contract, not a fashion-show tour of the hub, unless the test’s stated goal is social.
• Screenshot skill names and the redeem UI if one exists, then send nothing that the NDA forbids.
• Afterward, check codes only if the mail mentioned a string.

How to spend a short session

Gamescom previews were about half an hour. A first closed test may be similar. Priority:

1. Survive one full hunt with a four-role party if the build allows it.
2. Trigger one clash and one execution so those verbs are in your hands, not only in combat.
3. Open the Style or skill screen once so you know whether the FAQ’s customization is in this build.
4. Note whether solo queue exists. The FAQ says most core content is soloable; a test might still force groups.
5. Stop when the clock stops. Do not stay in a hub hot spring while the download window closes.

Hardware honesty

UE5 hunts at Gamescom ran on show PCs. Your survey should not claim a 4090 if you own a 1660. Invite waves that are hardware-gated will bounce you, and you will blame the wiki. Blame the form you padded.

After the test

Watch official channels for whether feedback forms matter. Update your own notes against Dreadnodi and the demo roster. If skill names landed, this checklist did its job: you were present enough to read them.

There is still no date. Ticking boxes now is cheaper than scrambling when the subject line is “Nodusfall Playtest Access”. Pack a notepad for skill names, a pad with a working bumper, and a group of three friends who already know who is tanking. That is the whole tool. Everything else is waiting.
