How to Pre-Register for Nodusfall
Official site, survey, and what a sign-up does not guarantee.
Pre-registration for Nodusfall opened with the gamescom reveal on 25 August 2026. It is the only official action you can take while the game remains unreleased. This page is the checklist: account, form, survey, and the difference between a mailing-list sign-up and an actual playtest invite.
Use the official site, not a random QR code
The durable URL is the HoYoverse Nodusfall homepage. English players land on the /en-us/home/ path; Japanese players have a matching /ja-jp/home/ page. Gematsu also lists a Simplified Chinese official page. If a social post sends you anywhere else, compare the domain to official links before you log in.
You will need a HoYoverse account. If you already play Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, or Zenless Zone Zero, the same login usually works. If you do not, create one with an email you actually read. Beta mail that lands in a throwaway inbox is how people miss tests.
Two forms, not one
Several creators who walked the process in the days after Gamescom describe a two-step flow:
- Pre-register on the official site while signed in.
- Complete a recruitment survey that appears after the registration succeeds.
Skipping the survey is the common failure. Pre-register puts you on the news list. The survey is what HoYoverse can use to filter hardware, region, and play habits for a later test. Fill region, PC specs, genre preferences, and the contact email tied to the account. Use real numbers; a 4 GB laptop listed as a 4090 rig helps no one when the invite wave is hardware-gated.
A separate recruitment campaign was already circulating on social ads around 21 August 2026, before the ONL trailer. The official site path is still the one to keep. Old ads expire. The homepage does not.
What you are signing up for
You are not joining a live beta. PC Gamer’s round-up is explicit: the questionnaire is for future tests, not a session running now. HoYoverse’s own FAQ, carried by Famitsu, says the project is still in development and that test details will come from official accounts later. Treat every Discord screenshot of a “closed beta this weekend” as unofficial until @Nodusfall or the Japanese counterpart posts it.
PC is the only platform the company has promised. Signing up does not reserve a PlayStation or Xbox copy. It also does not place you in a gacha queue. Character unlocks are play-based; the form is about tests, not banners. See monetization if that is the fear that brought you here.
After you click submit
- Follow official links: @Nodusfall, @Nodusfall_jp, YouTube, TikTok, and the Discord invite published in Japanese press.
- Keep the same email on the account and the survey.
- Do not expect a reward code. This wiki’s codes page exists so you can confirm there are none yet.
- When a test is named, come back to the beta checklist for build install, NDA, and role prep.
How this ties to actually playing
Pre-register is the door. The rest of the wiki is the briefing. Once the form is done, read getting started so you know the hunt loop, then controls and combat so a 30-minute invite is not spent in the skill menu. If you already know you want to heal, skip ahead to Hexsworn.

Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common Nodusfall questions.
Does pre-register give me the game?
No. It joins the official list and, with the survey, a future test pool. The client is not public.
I pre-registered but saw no survey.
Stay on the official site while logged in and look for a post-register prompt. Repeat the flow if a popup was blocked.
Do I need a new HoYoverse account?
Only if you do not have one. Existing accounts are the intended path.
Will I get codes for signing up?
None have been published. Check codes when tests start.
