Nodusfall Platforms and Devices

What HoYoverse has confirmed, what is still rumor, and how the studio has handled launches before.

Platforms and Devices Guide

The shortest honest answer to “what platforms is Nodusfall on?” is also the only answer the studio has put in writing: PC is confirmed, Windows is the PC target, and everything else is unannounced. The Japanese FAQ that ran with Famitsu after Gamescom is the line this wiki quotes; the Cologne press copy repeated it. Console, mobile, cloud streaming, and Steam Deck verification are not on the public list.

If you came here from the overview or the Gamescom 2026 recap, this page is the platform-specific deep dive. The action layer lives at pre-register, beta checklist, and PC requirements.

What is officially confirmed

Three things, and only three:

  • Platform: PC.
  • PC target: Windows.
  • Engine: Unreal Engine 5 — miHoYo’s second UE5 title after Varsapura, per the Wikipedia entry cross-referenced with the press kit.

The press kit at Gamescom 2026 also confirmed how the demo ran: Xbox controllers wired into high-end PCs on the show floor. Keyboard and mouse were visible in the booth footage. Touch input was not part of any confirmed demo.

What is NOT confirmed

The list of platforms the studio has not announced is, today, longer than the list it has. Treat every item below as unannounced unless a HoYoverse account posts otherwise:

  • PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro
  • Xbox Series X|S
  • Nintendo Switch 2
  • iOS, iPadOS, Android phones and tablets
  • Cloud streaming (GeForce Now, Xbox Cloud, Boosteroid, PlayStation Plus)
  • Steam Deck verified or playable status
  • Steam, Epic Games Store, or any other named PC storefront

No store page exists to pre-order, wishlist, or follow on any storefront. If you find a placeholder listing, it is unofficial.

HoYoverse pattern: a pattern, not a promise

HoYoverse’s published games follow a recognizable cadence. Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, Honkai Impact 3rd, and Zenless Zone Zero all shipped on PC and mobile, often close together, with PlayStation arriving later — Genshin took roughly six months from its PC and mobile debut to its PS4 window. Xbox, Switch, and Switch 2 only landed when there was a deal, a tech fit, or a partner platform holder waving.

None of that is a Nodusfall announcement. The studio has not promised any second platform, timeline, or port partner. If a port happens, the more likely order is: PC at launch, mobile in the surrounding window, PlayStation later, other consoles only if they fit. That is pattern recognition, not forecast. Treat it like weather folklore: useful for sanity-checking rumors, not for planning a hardware purchase.

Two kinds of signal exist that people often mistake for announcements. Both are real, both are unofficial:

  • Job listings. HoYoverse careers pages have posted mobile-optimization, console-port, and platform-engineer roles tied to Nodusfall. Hiring for a platform is not launching on it.
  • Community Q&A leaks. Translation leaks from internal events float ahead of the company. Useful as hints, useless as dates.

PC hardware

There is no official spec sheet yet. The PC requirements page is honest about that and lists community chatter from Gamescom booth machines — roughly 16 GB RAM, 12th-gen Intel or Ryzen 5000 CPUs, RTX 4060-tier GPUs, around 100 GB install. None of that is in a system requirements PDF. Do not buy hardware for an unannounced spec. Do, however, fill in the recruitment survey with accurate specs so an invite to a hardware-gated beta does not go to waste.

Input devices

Confirmed from the Gamescom press kit:

  • Xbox controllers wired to PCs on the booth floor.
  • Keyboard and mouse visible in the demo footage.

Not confirmed: PlayStation DualSense support, Nintendo Switch Pro Controller support, Steam Deck native input, and any touch controls. For the verbs bound to those inputs, see controls and combat.

Cross-play and cross-save

Nothing has been published. The Gamescom demo was single-platform by definition (PC only). HoYoverse’s other live-service games have shipped with cross-save and eventually cross-play between PC and mobile or PC and PlayStation. That history is encouraging, but Nodusfall-specific cross-progression is unannounced. Do not assume a PC account will travel with you to an unconfirmed mobile or console client.

How to track the platform list

The list will only change through official channels: the @Nodusfall X account, the Japanese @Nodusfall_jp account, the official website’s news section, and the recruitment survey update notes. The full link set lives at links. The roadmap tracker is the calendar that will inherit the next official platform line; this page inherits it the same day and stays clean in the meantime.
