Nodusfall Mounts and Traversal

How Weavers actually get to a contract, and the one Divine that turns you into the ride.

Mounts and Traversal

Nodusfall’s Gamescom loop did not start on the boss. It started on a mount. Inven, creator footage, and the press stills of a Weaver riding a horned creature across cliffs all describe the same beat: accept a contract in a hub, get on an animal, ride toward a marked beast, then fight on foot in a spacious arena. This page is that middle third. It is not a stable of named mounts, because HoYoverse has not published one.

Pair it with contracts for the sign-up, the player hub for where you mount up, and Dreadnodi for what you are riding toward.

Traversal mounts are the commute

The demo’s ride is a hunt commute, not an open-world daily. Preview sessions did not wander a theme park looking for a random dragon. Four players took a contract, mounted, and travelled. That structure matters if you arrived from Genshin Impact expecting a waypoint list, or from Monster Hunter expecting a separate camp-to-gate run with a different animal every locale. What Gamescom showed was: one ride, one marked target, then a long phased fight. Polygon added that mounts also chase a monster that flees — still traversal, still not a mounted combat main. The same hour said the ride cannot double-jump.

Press images from Famitsu put a Weaver on a horned beast against cliffs and weather. The animal is traversal. You get off for the hunt. Creator clips of the same event show the squad moving together, which is why solo and co-op still tells you to assign roles before you spur the thing. A healer who mounts last is a healer who arrives to a clash already missed.

There is no published mount roster, no stamina number, no flying-versus-ground split, no customisation tab for saddles. Anyone listing drop rates for a “rare horse” is writing fiction. When an English stable ships, this page gets the nouns. Until then, treat the ride as the way a contract becomes a fight.

The Divine Skill that is a mount

Inven’s bow player described a second, combat-facing mount: a Divine Skill that turned the Weaver into a beast form with paw swipes and tail jumps. Awkward range. Ultimate-length cooldown. Easy to waste on the opening roar. That is not the commute animal. That is a transformation, and it belongs next to Divine Skills as much as it belongs here.

Fraser Brown’s knight Divine went the other way — a towering dual-wielding humanoid, not a ride. Hexsworn’s ring ultimate is a party heal, not a mount. The lesson is the same as weapons: the fifth button is a fork, not a shared horse. Do not hold a beast-mount Divine for a phase you could have clashed through on foot.

Trailer-only viewers sometimes read every large creature as rideable. Official copy does not say that. Dreadnodi are the hunt. Some legendary beasts are the corruption you cut down. A traversal mount is the tool that gets a squad to that cut. Keep the three layers apart or you will try to saddle Maldrake.

What the commute is for

Use the ride to finish the party plan you should have made in the hub. Tank on the mouth, Hexsworn on the backline, two damage seats where the telegraphs are readable. Combat is the fight; the mount is the loading screen with scenery. TechNode’s report of floating platforms and cloud-sea ruins is about the arena you arrive in, not about a flying mount skill you can spam across a continent. Regions holds that geography.

If a future test lets you pet, dye, or rename the animal, that is cosmetic layer, and it will sit under customization and monetization rather than under a combat stat. Do not pre-order a saddle. Do pre-register so you can actually see the thing: pre-register.

How this page will change

Named mounts, stamina rules, and whether Divine beast-forms share a cooldown with other Divines all land here when a client prints them. Until that UI exists, three facts hold: you ride to the contract, you fight on foot, and at least one preview Divine turned a Weaver into a clumsy combat mount. For the hub you leave from, open player hub. For the beast at the other end, stay on Dreadnodi.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common Nodusfall questions.

Can I fight from a mount?

The commute mount is traversal. One preview Divine turned a Weaver into a beast form with awkward melee. That is a skill, not the default ride.

Are Dreadnodi rideable?

Not in published copy. Dreadnodi are the hunt. Traversal mounts are a separate tool.

Is there a mount gacha?

Nothing published. Character gacha is ruled out; mount shops are unannounced.
