Release, platforms, tests

Is Nodusfall out? No. It was announced at gamescom Opening Night Live on 25 August 2026. There is no public client.

When does it release? Unannounced. PC Gamer inferred around 2028 from HoYoverse’s usual beta cadence. That is not a studio date. Full file: release date.

Which platforms? PC is confirmed. PlayStation, Xbox, Switch 2, mobile, and Steam Deck verification are not. Platforms.

Is there a Steam page? No storefront has been published. PC is confirmed without a shop name.

Money and roster

Is it a gacha game? Characters are not obtained through random draws. They unlock through continued play. Cosmetic monetization is under consideration. That is not a promise that no other random shop will ever exist. Monetization.

Do I pull Weavers from a banner? No. The Gamescom four were a select screen, not a wish screen. Weavers.

How many characters are there? Four in the demo: a greatsword knight, a bow ranger, a mage/hexer seat, and Hexsworn. One of those four had two classes on PC Gamer’s select screen. The shipped roster is unannounced.

Who is Hexsworn? The named frost support from GameRant’s hands-on: chips, heals, ice beam, green-ring ultimate. Hexsworn.

How it plays

Is it a soulslike? No. Fraser Brown (PC Gamer) played it and said it is not remotely a soulslike. Polygon compared the feel to co-op Final Fantasy 16. Full argument: genre comparisons. Verbs: combat.

Can I play solo? Yes. The developer FAQ says most core content is playable solo. Co-op adds role split and joint executions. Solo and co-op.

How many players in a squad? Up to four.

What is clash? A charged heavy released as the monster is about to hit you. The weapon swells into a glowing counter. It is the melee identity of the knight kit.

What are Divine Skills? The long-cycle fifth button. Previewers described transformations, a beast-mount form, and a party-scale heal. They expand as bosses fall. Divine Skills.

What are Dreadnodi? Official copy: corrupted legendary beasts. Preview labels from GameRant: Cleaver Fellstone, Qionqi, Maldrake plus rider. Treat those as booth names until a bestiary ships. Hunt Dreadnodi.

Are there mounts? Yes, as traversal in the demo, and at least one Divine Skill that turns a Weaver into a beast mount. Mounts.

Is there a player hub? Creator and press footage show a social space with hot springs, loadout swaps, and a contract board. Social features are intentionally light. Player hub.

Is there PvP? Planned as seasoning. PC Gamer described a mode where you take control of a boss, or fight a player controlling one, plus a broader PvPvE mention. The demo did not queue it. PvP modes.

Lore and production

What is the Chinese name? 源初之结 (Yuánchū zhījié), not the fan 神陨/神坠 labels. Development.

What engine? Unreal Engine 5. Press lists it as miHoYo’s second UE5 title after Varsapura.

Is there a soundtrack album? No. Only the trailer track is public. Soundtrack.

Are there redeem codes? No. Codes stays empty until a client exists.
